Book Publishing Software References

November 15, 2008

Book publishing software consultants at Kensai International place an immense amount of importance on the vendor’s implementation track record.

Truth said, most book publishing software applications share most of the same functionality. The key difference is their track record of successful implementations and satisfied clients.

Some vendors have an excellent track record with smaller publishers and a troublesome experience with larger vendors. Other vendors are experienced at implementing their software at large publishers but run into serious problems when scaling down their system to meet the needs of small to medium sized publishers. Some vendors excel at implementing royalty and production management systems while slipping when it comes to order processing and warehouse management.

At Kensai we look at three types of references when helping our clients select book publishing software that is best suited for their current and future needs.

1. Client References from clients similar in size and focus

2. Client references from recent implementations with a similar focus

3.  References from former clients that switched to another application.
